AT&T crowds decline without Tiger

Without Tiger Woods, the crowd at Sunday's final round at Congressional was down about 7,000 to 30,000, according to the Washington Post. And Saturday's third-round crowd of 22,311 was down about 15,000 from last year, the Baltimore Sun reported.

That's not all bad.

It makes it easier for the rest of us who are not-really-interested-in-golf-but-just-idol-worshipers to get around the course.

No one is really stepping up in the post Tiger days... kinda feels like "who will win this week"? This should make golf more balanced but it has actually lost some of its excitement. If some think Tiger is not good for the game.. watch it now and you will see he is the heart beat that makes everyone play better.

I like watching any player who is the best in his/her field. Even when Tiger is playing, if he isn't in position to win there is no need to watch.

You've made it clear that you don't like golf. That's fine. What you don't need to do is show everyone how stupid you are by calling it a non-sport as you did earlier.

I need you to put your thinking cap on and go sit in a corner for a few hours and contemplate this. ANYTHING can be made into a sport. It doesn't matter what it is. Fencing, archery, killing animals, killing people.

No one here cares if you don't like golf but you don't need to make a completely fallaceous comment and try to pass it off as being accurate and true.
