Dolphin thinks he's underpaid

The Dolphins have not responded to inquiries from Channing Crowder's agent about a new contract, and with Crowder set to become an unrestricted free agent next spring, the situation bears monitoring. Crowder's camp believes he's being seriously underpaid. With a $1 million base salary for this season, he's tied for fourth with Reggie Torbor among the team's linebackers behind linebacker/defensive end Jason Taylor ($7.5 million), Joey Porter ($4.8 million) and Akin Ayodele ($2.5 million).

nobody on the last year's dolphins should think they are underpaid.

This guy is actually very talented and he is young. This guy will get paid like a Rock Star on the Free Agent Market. They better sign this guy to a long term extension......they can build the defense around him.

Here we go again.......

(insert name) thinks he's underpaid

July 9, 2008  06:54 AM ET

What...you think his agent is going to say: "He's over paid, take some of the money back!" LMAO

July 9, 2008  07:06 AM ET

I think it is an impossibility that a member of the Dolphins is underpaid

July 9, 2008  07:19 AM ET

Any fishie player of the dulphins on last years team and an employee of the dulfish should return all monies they were paid last year. They were and still are a joke.

July 9, 2008  07:22 AM ET

I didn't think college teams got paid.....

July 9, 2008  07:25 AM ET

when you're 1-15, you shouldn't go asking for a raise..

July 9, 2008  07:36 AM ET

When you're 1-15.......your trying to gain respectability again, you start by re-signing your young talent. Outside of Jason Taylor, this guy is by far the best player they have.

If they don't resign him, they will be very upset if they think Akin Ayodele is going to be good....

July 9, 2008  07:54 AM ET

The Dolphins have a new coaching staff and GM. Just because he was good under the previous regime/scheme, doesn't mean he'll work with what they're planning for the future. If they want him, I'm sure they'll get something done.

I think I'm underpaid.

July 9, 2008  08:43 AM ET

Underpaid? I'm certain he is totally unbiased in deciding his worth.

The acronym banning by FN is pure BS.

This is not a church site for craps sake! All acronyms should be allowed, dang it!
