Nico Johnson of Andalusia, Ala., one of the nation's top linebackers, said he was "disappointed" when he found out that Georgia was no longer offering a scholarship. The 6-foot-3, 230-pounder has 15 scholarship offers and counting, including ones from Alabama, Auburn, Southern Cal, Florida, Florida State, Tennessee and Texas A&M.

Ummmmmmm........................ Any good reason WHY???????

6'3" 230!! MOST kids start out around 210 / 215. He's a beast!!

Those other schools that are named are some of the best football schools out there! NOT a very smart move Georgia. What does Forrest say "Stupid is what stupid does"

July 9, 2008  09:19 AM ET

Cause Georgia already has 3 LB commits from 2 four star and 1 three star recruits according to scout.com.

July 9, 2008  09:20 AM ET

The guy's gonna go to Bama or Auburn anyways. The state of Alabama is on lock down b/c of those two schools.

July 9, 2008  09:31 AM ET

If Georgia rescinded the offer, you can bet there is a good reason...and being "dumb" surely is NOT IT!

July 9, 2008  11:06 AM ET

Go to 'Bama, Nico, you'll fit in nicley with Rolo and Jerrell!!

July 9, 2008  11:19 AM ET

If he still has 15 offers, I doubt he really gives a rats arse about Georgia withdrawing theirs

July 9, 2008  12:14 PM ET

Go to Bama.

His own words obviously negate your ignorant comment:

Nico Johnson of Andalusia, Ala., one of the nation's top linebackers, said he was "disappointed" when he found out that Georgia was no longer offering a scholarship.

To heck with that if i was him why do these kids want to go to teams where more than likely they will sit for 2 or 3 years while other players get the TV time. I'd go to a team where i could play from day 1

July 9, 2008  02:48 PM ET

Hope he goes to another SEC team so he can beat up on UGA QB's for the next 2 or 3 years and show Mark they should have kept him

July 9, 2008  04:19 PM ET

Cursefan - NONE of the SEC teams on his list would start him as a true freshman, redshirt freshman, or most likely even sophmore.

July 9, 2008  04:27 PM ET

Go to Tennessee. It is a better Titletown anyways.

July 9, 2008  05:02 PM ET

...........want to argue with c note.........but cant.....arrrrrrrrrrrrggggg

July 9, 2008  06:56 PM ET

you better keep him... your goona need a linebacker when beanie well and block -o come to town.... fear the vest!

July 9, 2008  07:00 PM ET

But will any of the other schools let him wear 2 jerseys so he can change colors to intimidate the opposing team?

July 9, 2008  07:10 PM ET

fear the vest!

Not at all FEAR THE DAWG

July 9, 2008  07:33 PM ET

**** THE DAWG AND THE REST OFF THE SEC

July 9, 2008  07:33 PM ET

REST OF THE SEC

July 9, 2008  07:41 PM ET

Thats really good....you had to repost something you said ,that you wasn't sure of.........So much for the play calling of OSU....Thats OK .....Your not the first team to over look the SEC,,,,,,Maybe you should ask Hawaii about over looking the DAWGS
