Hornets General Manager Jeff Bower said the team has been involved in serious discussions with several free agents, but no deals were finalized Wednesday, the first day free agents could sign contracts. The Hornets continue to express interest in Boston free agent swingman James Posey and Detroit shooting guard Jarvis Hayes. They are also making a push to re-sign point guard Jannero Pargo, who is receiving interest from at least four different teams, according to his agent. "I think we had some strong discussions with a large number of prospects," Bower said.

Another proven commodity. Well worth to resign

They should definitely resign Pargo. He is a solid backup PG who can put a bunch of points up in a hurry.

Actually he is more than a back-up at this point-
his scoring in the playoffs last year shows that.

Only problem I saw was that he likes to shoot (maybe too much)

I like that, espeically since it looks like Posey may not be back.

but unless he played minutes at sg he would have almost no minutes with NOH cause paul plays so much

He can shoot and is younger than guys like Bobby Jackson - that was the reason why Hornets traded Jackson away.

Pargo had a couple of great games against the Jazz that I saw where I asked my wife who this guy was, of course she didnt know him but he played very well.

Sam Cassell isn't going back to Boston. He is however going to wait until there are only about six weeks left in the season to see who has the best chance of winning a championship. Then he'll try to get them to sign his UglyAss!
