Dynamo's Ching to Seattle?

Brian Ching might be heading to Seattle and he may bring Dynamo teammates Craig Waibel and Mike Chabala (former Washington Huskies) with him. Ching, who played collegiately at Gonzaga in Spokane, Wash., was a Sounder for two seasons (in 2001 and 2002) as Seattle's top scorer before signing with San Jose.

I swear to Jesus I dont know who the hell is writing and editing these post. I can not understand the above paragraph...damn bro!

It's a pretty sound paragraph... it says exactly what it says. Nothing to understand. Ching went to Gonzaga, which is in Spokane, which is in Washington state. He played for the Sounders of the USL for 2 seasons in 2001 and 2002 and was their top scorer. He then signed an MLS contract with the original San Jose Earthquakes.

What's hard to understand there?

Before you criticize too harshly, try proofing your own.

That would be pretty good for the Sounders. He's a good player and it'd be great to get a solid front-line player to start the club with.

July 11, 2008  09:09 AM ET

Nothing wrong with the paragraph. Anyway, it would be a good move for the Sounders. It would help with the fan base to bring in someone who they are familiar with.

Are you stoned? Put down the meth and clear your head! Now that may help you understand a basic paragraph! And lock your door and pull the shades on your windows IITM, the Mexicans are coming after you!

Actually this T&R is actually a wee interesting and better written. I think Seattle getting Ching would be a steal for them... And without De Rosario and Ching it looks like Houston will have to go shopping in the offseason for sure (if this really happens). I just can't see any big time Euro player wanting to play in that Houston heat however. Gonna have to be someone from South and/or Central America... And what about Henry! I thought Seattle wanted Henry! Can you see Ching and Henry upfront together?

July 11, 2008  10:30 AM ET

I can't see Ching and Henry because I don't see Henry coming.

July 11, 2008  10:55 AM ET

J HOVA--eventually he will come. Mark my words...

July 11, 2008  11:11 AM ET

Maybe, but to Seattle? He's a big star. He deserves the New York or Los Angeles market.

July 11, 2008  11:17 AM ET

J HOVA is right, Henry would go to NY or LA, a big market city, not Seattle. and that's IF he comes. even if soccer is big up there in Seattle, the city is not as big a draw as NY or LA. plus Henry has stated before that he really likes New York as a city...so..

and is anyone else thrilled over the fact that Arsenal just signed Samir Nasri!?!? cuz I am!

July 11, 2008  11:33 AM ET

The wording is a little odd and could have been cleared up, but it is still OK.

How's has Clemson's soccer team done lately?

July 11, 2008  11:46 AM ET

I think if there is any truth to this it would be some good thinking on Seattle's part. They already signed Sebastian Le Toux of the USL Sounders; he is good. He has lit up the USL and when they play MLS teams, like in the US open cup or friendlies, he plays well then too.

July 11, 2008  11:47 AM ET

CUtigersoccer: As a United fan I am not that excited about the Nasri signing but his signing was a good move by Arsene. He joins a nice contingent of French speakers at the Emirates and the move frees up Hleb to go to Barca or wherever he wants.

crappy year last year. we had too many short players, and no chemistry up top, tho tommy drake was a bright spot. we should improve tho they looked much better in spring practice. David newton (D)and joe bendick (G) should emerge as leaders, and our attacking mids and forwards should have a pretty good handle on how each guy plays. the lady's teamhad more draws than i could count, and we'll miss our keeper philips, and forward Nuria Zufia, but we have apretty experienced side coming back so, time will tell for both teams

July 11, 2008  11:53 AM ET

J HOVA, yeah im interested to see how Nasri will play will fabragas, they could be a deadly tandem in the midfield. and yeah im pretty sure Hleb may be on the way out, hope he takes adebayor with him, i know he scored a lot last year, but i just dont like the guy

July 11, 2008  12:17 PM ET

this is all speculation..... i know that Ching has affiliations with the team and the state, but common, Houston is one of the top teams in the MLS, the Sounders will have to vastly improve his salary..

if it occured, the sounders would at least start their career with a decent and established forward

July 11, 2008  01:41 PM ET

I believe Sebastian Le Toux will be one of the starting forwards for the Sounders next year. He was the USL MVP last year, and he's playing even better this season. He's about 24, he's pretty big and he's really fast. He's from France. He's been involved in probably over half of the USL Seattle team's goals this year.

July 11, 2008  01:43 PM ET

The USL Sounders have had some good players in recent years -- most notably Ching and that Maykel Galindo guy who defected from Cuba and now plays for Real Salt Lake. This Sebastian Le Toux guy appears to be better than either of those two guys.

Interesting, the Sounders will get a much needed star then
