Maggette comes to Brand's defense

Corey Maggette was trying to start his new life in the Bay Area when the remnants of the life he left behind began spinning out of control. He could've just let it blow over, introduced himself to his new team and moved on quietly. "But I just couldn't hear what people were saying about Elton (Brand)," Maggette told the Daily News on Saturday. "Anybody who knows Elton knows he's a stand-up guy. He's got character. And I just don't want people to come out of this situation thinking he's a bad guy. I don't know everything that went on with EB, but I know EB and he says they made him feel disrespected, something obviously happened."

I believe the Clippers disrespected David Falk, not Brand, and that was how the Clippers F it up.

The clippers are the dumbest organization in pro sports and letting brand walk is UNACCEPTABLE. So Brand is a good guy, everyone bashes him for about a week but people have stopped and they like Brand.

Elton Brand lied to the Clippers , saying if he got 75 million he would stay. david falk got in Eltons mothers ear & then Eltons , making them believe Elton had been disrespected . The one who was disrespected was Falk by his own client , Brand , who had negotiated without him. It's always easy to blame Sterling & the Clippers , although they did nothing wrong. This was clearly a case where the Plantation owner , Falk , wanted control over where his slave [brand] was sold. LETS NOT FORGET ABOUT FALKS COMMISION .Elton was happy with the Clippers offer , regardless of Falks commision [see Dunleavy's Blackberry]
