Veteran point guard Tyronn Lue said Sunday that he has a physical examination scheduled with the Heat at 5 a.m. Monday and that he expects to receive an offer from the team if there are no red flags. Lue, who was slowed by a strained calf last season, said he then would decide among the Heat, Phoenix and Boston but wasn't sure which he would choose. But a Heat spokesman cautioned Sunday that no offer to Lue is imminent.

Fearless forecast: He will choose whichever team ponies up the most $$$.

A choice between the Hawks and Heat, that is like choosing between **** and syphillis. yes the Hawks made the playoffs, but they won't do it again this year. Miami, lets just say they are a couple of notches above the Knicks.

Tyronn Lue = Championship

July 14, 2008  08:35 AM ET

Lue isnt a bad choice

A better choice would have been going after Anthony Carter b4 he re-signed with the Nuggs

July 14, 2008  09:03 AM ET

Out of those three teams, Miami and Phoenix are good possibilities. I don't see how Boston is a possibility, since they are comfortable with Rondo, and they haven't had much luck with veteran point guards (ie Cassell).

July 14, 2008  09:49 AM ET

I still cannot figure out why any team would sign this loser.

July 14, 2008  09:49 AM ET

vaughn9, I think alot of people will be surprised at how much of a turn around the Heat have this year. They have really added alot of talent being that Wade was basically not there at all last year. Lue is a good role player, and I think Chalmers will learn alot from him

July 14, 2008  09:49 AM ET

Or is it Lue-ser?

July 14, 2008  10:44 AM ET

Lue isn't a bad choice FOR A BACKUP, but why would the Heat want to bring in Lue to run their offense. At best, he is a temporary fix. He's been with 8 teams in his 9 years in the league. I wouldn't consider this an upgrade over White Chocolate.

tell it like it is....love that one!!!!!

July 14, 2008  11:56 AM ET

if Riley is dumb enough 2 get him he should be fired my heaters have good point guards already: Quinn-shot 40% from 3 ran the floor well without J Will, Banks has improved his shooting & basketball iq & Mario Chalmers is good 2 hopefully J Will is not resigned.

July 14, 2008  11:57 AM ET

why is his physical at 5 in the morning? hmmm....

July 14, 2008  12:05 PM ET

Well Lue just wants a job at this point, he will get one but is he really a difference maker, i guess it doesnt really matter. he can be a backup.

July 14, 2008  12:09 PM ET

he'll be a backup he's a good stealer did u see him in the finals 4th quarter...

July 14, 2008  12:17 PM ET

vaughn you are an iddiot. Knicks haven't been relevant in 10 years while the Heat won a championship two years ago and have franchise top 10 player in Wade and the best 19 year old in the world in Beasley. Last year was a debacle I admit but putting the two franchises in the same boat is asinine.

July 14, 2008  12:18 PM ET

I thought he was on the verge of signing with Phoenix. I guess he wants money more than playing time.
