Peyton was probably going to handle the opener against the Bears as a bye week anyway.

So let's see, if it takes the full six weeks, Manning is due to return on August 23...two full weeks before the opener. How exactly does that justify this headline or article?

Is T & R suggesting an infection at the surgical site requiring another procedure and thus extending the rehab? Just what is FanNation smoking these days?

Another non story to fill in the pages...As stated, there is almost no chance Peyton will miss a season opener. Even if he just plays for awhile. Like only 4 quarters. ;)

If he misses that start, I will be completely shocked. He had a similar operation in college, and returned in about a month. Peyton will be fine. He hasn't missed a start yet.

I came to work and was in a foul mood until I read the above statement. My day is bright. I do remember that AFC Championship game where the Pats were determined to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
