Agent: Bonds unlikely to return
Agent Jeff Borris acknowledged that time is running out for Bonds to play this season, saying he is not optimistic a team will sign him. He said the soon-to-be 44-year-old slugger could be ready to play in two weeks, but no teams have shown interest. People around Bonds believe he's been black-balled from the game. A little more than a month ago, Borris offered Bonds' services as cheaply as he could to teams and still had no interest. "I'd offered him for the league minimum - $390,000 - to numerous clubs and not one of them would take him," Borris said. "If that doesn't create a level of suspicion I don't know what does. How can a guy who was a National League All-Star last year not have a chance to put on a major league uniform in 2008? He's completely healthy. Everyone knows that his trial date is not until March of 2009, so there would be no interruption with the 2008 season."

Being a cancer inducing prick: no, teams generally don't want this, especially from a 40+ year old player with no knees.

Bonds is selfish, a distraction, a cancer, an egomaniac, old, broken down, cranky knees, a big head and should stay retired.

Exactly Troy! Bonds isn't the only old timer who did well last year and still can't get a job. Why pay millions for mediocre performance when you can pay thousands for the same performance?

Kenny Lofton, Mike Piazza and Barry Bonds, if this was 1999 then I would say collusion. But get a clue, it's 2008 and those guys are done! Nobody is going to spend big bucks on 40 year-olds who tend to get injured. Barry has been such a phallus to everybody for years. Do you think anybody is going to go out of their way so sign a player like that especially when he has bad knees and is under indictement?

I really can't imagine that someone wouldn't take a flyer on him for less than a $200K investment..... I personally still stay he'd look great in LF for the Braves.... look, we've already beat the f*** out of this guy..... and he's a total a*ss.... but there are a lot of them around in pro sports, so who cares...... tell him to go out and win some games.... or you're feckking gone.....
