White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen said unfair labeling of Latin American players during George Mitchell's investigation caused him to participate in a Spanish-speaking video on the dangers of using performance-enhancing substances.

By unfair labeling did he mean testing positive for substances?....If so...then I praise Ozzie for voicing in Spanish what might get the friggin point across.

Could not have said some of the statements better myself mcg...He has been very critical about this country, which is a privilege because of freedom of speech...But don't use the freedom given to step all over the country that feeds you...Poor choice of ethics on his part..

So nobody gets confused...There was a post up before mine that pretty much ripped Ozzie. Although I did not agree with the entire psot, I did think that some of the statements made were right on track.

That post was deleted by this site, I am sure becuase of the strong opinion provided by the individual. That is all that I want to express regarding the deleted post..

I hope everybody has a great day....................

If Ozzie guillen wasn't a world series champ, would anyone care?

June 7, 2007  10:42 AM ET

Ozzie Smith? Wait..what? Who?

June 7, 2007  10:44 AM ET

He should be looking out for all of baseball not just his own culture. dude is an idiot.

June 7, 2007  10:48 AM ET

Ozzie - One latin who will never be controlled. (Or labeled sane)

June 7, 2007  11:06 AM ET

OZZIE is my neighbour. LETS NOT BE LIKE LOU DOBBS AND GO AFTER THE PPL OF SOUTH AMERICA LOL.

June 7, 2007  11:40 AM ET

I hate it when my post gets deleted.Who ever is doing that better knock it off!!! Aren't you supposed to be at work or something?

June 7, 2007  11:41 AM ET

Ozzie will never be taken seriously. It's probably good that someone is a voice for the latin player but maybe a few more credible men should step up. Most steroids are probably smuggled in from somewhere but I'm guessing its the shady docs and pharmacists with the most control...BALCO anyone? The players are just the end of the road.

Cards Win- How are the sox a "one-hit-wonder" team? Is it when you win 90+ games a season in a row you become a "one-hit-wonder" team or win a champoinship in the WORST DIVISION IN BASEBALL without winning 90 games at all? If the sox were in the NL central they'd be is second play too just like ur 06 champ Cards! I know the sox are doing real bad this year and i can admit that but they are not a one hit wonder team. Your a F*UC*ING MORON! I dont disagree that Ozizie isnt smart. Hes say alot of stupid stuff but he is not a bad coach. Even with a good coach the Cards still arnt doing well.

June 7, 2007  02:37 PM ET

I hate to take Latin in highschool. That **** sucked.

June 7, 2007  02:40 PM ET

One-hit is something you won't hear from St.Louis, especially at the bars or hotels..Just ask Josh Hancock or Tony "DUI" LaRussa.

June 7, 2007  03:21 PM ET

WOW! Another minority playing the race card to take heat off of himself and the underlying facts of the issue. Read the paper, read some books, learn some culture, some class ( and learn some English while your at it). Who care's what the man's last name is. If he cheated he is a cheater, no if's and's or butt's.

June 7, 2007  03:24 PM ET

To: Ozzie Guillen

You see that blinking in the corner of your eye? That's your career disipation light, it just went into overdrive! A year from now Ozzie will be the bullpen coach for the Modesto Tree Frogs. Hey Ozzie, get 'em go toss BP Amigo!

June 7, 2007  04:15 PM ET

Perfect attitude Ozzie. Hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil. As long as your kids aren't doing it, your good. I wonder how much the still cheating juicers on your team love this attitude. Not that there are any of course, just saying...if there were.

June 7, 2007  04:22 PM ET

jornoc: why don't u stop the negative stereotyping comments about minority? I am a blackman and aint a minority. that stuff is a label that was given to people who think like that, does that make u one? that is why we got so much issue in this country after all thses damn years!!

June 7, 2007  07:10 PM ET

Ozzie, come to LA, have a Corona or two with me and chill dude, we love the latin players and the latin ladies.

June 8, 2007  07:01 AM ET

jornoc: it is a shame that you have to hide behind your screen name in order to put down people because of their race or ethnic background!
Who exactly do you mean is "another minority playing the race card?" Jason Giambi perhaps, or was it Jason Grimsley, Mark McGwire, maybe even Bill Romanowski or Lloyd Flandis. Just because someone that doesn't fit your definition of "majority" speaks about steroids and other issues, you have to come out and define it as a cry for help.
You are the one that should read books and acquire some cultural diversity
