Halladay not on the market
Blue Jays president Paul Godfrey says Roy Halladay is the Toronto Blue Jays' Derek Jeter. In other words, he won't let him go without a fight. Halladay, who pitched the fourth inning of the All-Star Game, on Monday expressed a growing sense of frustration with the organization's inability to get over the hump and win the American League East Division. Coupled with that was a concern about the possible direction of the team, which could be poised for a major front-office overhaul. The Blue Jays can be expected to try and hammer out an extension with Halladay during the winter - a contract that because of its size and scope would likely require the general manager and club president to be involved intimately in discussions.

I wouldn't think so. But if so, I'd take him over Sabathia or Harden. Or anyone else not named Webb, at this point. This guy is a winner.

Roy is the best starter in baseball; he is the best player on the Blue Jays, my favorite team. Lots of Blue jays fans are going to have to start over if Roy goes.

I'm a Cubs fan, but living in Toronto I watch a lot of Jays game, and quite enjoy it as well. Having said that; really the only reason to watch them the past couple of years was too see whether Halladay could win another Cy Young, with a mediocre team. Honestly, if you put this guy on a team where he was surrounded by players as capable as him, he'd be unstoppable, Granted the jays have some pieces in place, just need to work it out.
BTW, Game 7 of the World Series, I'm taking Roy Halladay...and I would bet my life on it. That is how confident Iam when he pitches. Any game, could be a perfect game.
And to think, this guy almost was finished, before he began.
