Man, the Phillies need pitching badly. Adam Eaton, if he were a horse, would have been euthanized by now. After Hamels, they suck. I'm not a Phillies fan, but if they want to hang in the East, they need to make a move.

I'd run harder for Matt Cain than for Bedard or Burnett.

Cain is doing a lot better than Adam Eaton as of late, but the Giants better not be asking for much in exchange. I just hope I don't have to hear the name Greg Golson (AA prospect) involved in trade talks for the rest of this season. Right now he's worth too much to give away in a deal like this.

Right now he's pitching in AAA. He hasn't been pitching up to par, so the Phillies havn't called him back up. It's not as bad as it sounds, from a financial standpoint, because he wasn't signed to a major league level contract.

That's a good point, but Matt Cain has always said to have the higher ceiling. Eh, who the hell knows anymore?

I like Matt Cain, I think he's solid and has been hurt by bad run support in SF.

What happened to the Burnett to Philly deal that seemed so imminent a week or so ago?

If I ran the Giants, there is no way I'm trading Matt Cain, Jonathan Sanchez or Tim Lincecum.
