Boozer-to-Heat talk irritates Jazz
Posted: Thursday July 17, 2008 07:03AM ET
As often as Carlos Boozer's name has been mentioned in connection with the Miami Heat, Jazz general manager Kevin O'Connor said Tuesday he has no interest in asking the NBA to conduct an investigation into possible tampering. O'Connor said he had too much respect for Miami president Pat Riley and general manager Randy Pfund to do so. "I really have a great deal of confidence that that's not something that they would do," O'Connor added. At the same time, O'Connor acknowledged to being irritated by the nonstop speculation that Boozer will opt out of his contract after next season to sign as a free agent with Miami, where he lives in the off-season.

O'Connor has a right to be irritated lol.. just look at how wild its been recently with Davis and Brand.. Id love to see Boozer play on the heat tho.. with wade, marion(?), and beasley, they could get back to championship contender status in a hurry

Report Offensive CommentHmmm....Cleveland fans are yelling dejavu. He'll tell the Jazz he'll opt out to resign with them then roll off in the night and sign somewhere else.

Report Offensive CommentBoozer doesn't seem to have any team loyalty but whatever the guy can do what he wants. a line up of:
Decent - C
Boozer -PF
Beasley- SF
Wade - SG
Decent - PG
Could be pretty good.

Report Offensive CommentJazz is not playing their cards right. They have DWill to worry about right now and they are worried about the Heat. Tampering or not Jazz have to worry about their own. They can only control their end of the deal so if they want to keep their stars then they have to do their end of the deal by satisfying their superstars. Worry about signind DWill to a long term right now. Why is it taking them that long? DWill will take this into consideration. Anywhere DWill goes he will be successful. Jazz is delaying the negoations too long.

Report Offensive CommentBooz will not leave the Jazz, who cares if he lives in Flordia in the off season, almost every player on almost every team live in different states from wherer they make their living. Cleveland fans need to stop crying over spitl milk. if your owner was not a jack **** Booz will still be in Cleveland.
BIGGIED | 07/17/08, 08:55 AM
Report Offensive CommentUntil he signs on the line, all this talk is simply BS. Look at what he did before. Look at Brand's recent departure. If he's a free agent, lots of teams - not just the Heat - will throw money at him. He'll decide based on those offers.

Report Offensive CommentIm hoping the Heat either trade Marion or let his contract expire at the end of the year and let Boozer sign elsewhere. This will allow them to resign Wade and Bosh when he opts out. Bosh will be ready to get out of Canada and Riley wanted Bosh all along.
PG- Chalmers
SG- Wade
SF- Beasley
PF - Bosh
C- Anybody with a pulse

Report Offensive CommentBoozer is a perfect fit for Utah. He has proven himself. Just because he didn't perform well during the playoffs doesn't mean he didn't help the team get that far. He won't leave the Jazz just for that. He is one of the best power forwards in the league... and he won't get to that level if he stayed in Cleveland. It was a career move to leave Cleveland and it's the best career move to stay in Utah.

Report Offensive Commentcan you blame boozer for leaving the cavs, he knew he would always be 2nd fiddle to lebron. Plus the team started negotiating when it was illegal for them do to so. It would be dumb for boozer to leave utah when he and williams are like the new version of stockton to malone.
