I don't know who first said that, but it tends to be true most of the time.

It makes sense to play both. They both are young and inexperienced so you might as well get both of them some PT and in a hurry.

Hasn't this had a history of back-firing????

Pick one let the other transfer to Jackson State or whatever the 1AA flavor of the month might be....

I think Miami ought to play both QBs AT THE SAME TIME to increase their chances of winning this year.

I honestly don't know about Jacory Harris, he might be the guy, who knows? I have seen Marve play, in HS, and I'm telling you, if he can play like he did in HS, the Canes will be fine at QB. I know D-1 is a totally different animal than HS, but Marve has the tools to be a very good college QB, IMO. Canes coaches/fans should give this kid a chance, and it looks like they are.

The Gators had it work, because Tebow played a limited role, I think this situation differs from that. Also are either of these guys SEC ready like Tebow was?

Although both will get playing time this year (and I think that's a good thing) I don't believe it will be a true split or by-committee approach. Marve - having already had a year to watch and learn the playbook and the speed of the college game - will be the main man. Jacory however is a PHENOMENAL athlete, and so my guess would be that Marve will take the vast majority of the snaps but we'll bring Jacory in now and then for a few plays just to mix it up. Sort of like UF did with Tebow, but different because Jacory will not just come in to run QB sneaks up the middle.

Jacory has the makings to be an amazing player, so I am glad to hear he will be getting time. And this will be NOTHING like Wright/Freeman. First of all, they both BLEW!! They were absolutely awful college QBs, both of them. Second, that was a "swap em because we don't know which is worse"-situation, whereas this will be a "use them because they're both that good"-scenario. I'm very happy with that. And again, I do NOT see it being Marve for a game or two, then Jacory is Marve has a bad game, then back, etc... more of" Marev starts and runs the show, Harris comes in to change things up and keep defenses off guard. Heck, we have a THIRD QB who could start at many schools. I'm absolutely STOKED to have so much talent behind center that we're not sure how to use them all. That is a problem I will HAPPILY deal with after watching Berlin, Wright and Freeman for the first 4-5 years.

in wont be a 50/50 split anyway.....marve will get the most snaps and harris will come in for special situations

the canes sure get alot of airtime here on FN...

people will see a big improvement this yr with the canes i think.....this time next yr we will be top 10 goin into the season..
