Mejia on loan to D.C. United

05:23 AM ET 07.18 | La Prensa in Honduras is reporting that Platense (Puerto Cortes) is close to a deal to loan 24-year-old midfielder Carlos Will Mejia to D.C. United for the remainder of the MLS season. DCU GM Dave Kasper said he had no comment. One person familiar with the player said that, if things are worked out soon, Mejia would come for a trial next week.
