Camden County wide receiver DeAngelo Smith decided to commit to South Carolina, despite emerging interest from Georgia and Florida. Smith, a 6-foot-2, 185-pound senior, also declined offers from East Carolina, Indiana, and Illinois, among others.

Yup, smart move right there. Turn down Georgia and Florida for a chance to play for the SEC whipping post.

Perhaps he was educated to the fact that the best case scenario for him to play was at So. Carolina rather than at talent-laden schools like Georgia or Florida who simply stockpile talent to sit on their benches and wait their turn, ya think?

Georgia and Florida have a lot of talent at the WR position. Going to SC was a better move for him.

Might as well play in the armpit of the south for the once great coach who can't get it done without a large school like UF to pay their players better than other schools. He just wanted to get paid more money. I can't blame him.

The once great coach that can't pay players as good now must've offered him something good in order to come to the armpit of the south. Good for him for holding out. All about the dollar.
