Browns' Jurevicius to miss games
Browns No. 3 receiver Joe Jurevicius likely will miss the first five games of the regular season after undergoing the fourth procedure on his right knee since January, General Manager Phil Savage said Thursday. After postseason arthroscopic surgery, Jurevicius contracted a staph infection that has required three clean-outs, the most recent June 30.

A staph infection needing 3 clean outs? Man, what hospital did you go to so the rest of us can avoid it. Wow.

Something is definately up with that hospital... Jurevicius, Winslow and Edwards all got Staph infections at that same hospital after having surgery there... They need to shut that place down.

It's still the Browns...like they'd be a real threat to do anything anyway. The only sign of life in Cleveland is ---Pittsburgh 114 miles!

3x in for clean-out and staph infection....this is bad news for him! Each time they go in and root around they are weakening the area. This is not the sort of news I would want to hear as a player. Wish him luck in his recovery

Well there was also a line backer or two like Ben Taylor who had staph infection a few years ago. I think it's gotta be the browns training facility that's the problem not the hospital.

BB,
good call on the training facility. THe Staph and MRSA infections are a bane on the hospital world and could be getting less interest in the browns facility. Browns need to clean house!

Isn't it more likely that the infection was contracted at the hospital? For an infection to make its way into a joint space, it likely happened when they were inside his knee. Perhaps I am wrong about this, if so, please insult me.

That hospital needs an infection control investigation to be done by the accreditation board.

Everybody's gonna be picking the Browns to go to the playoffs, but they're gonna be short JJ at receiver for a few games, and they'll have a tougher schedule. Also, Anderson won't surprise people this time.

I agree I think they are a little overated for a team that didn't make the playoffs... They aren't as good as it looks on paper..
