Jazz may lose Miles to Hornets

There won't be anybody questioning C.J. Miles' decision to skip the Rocky Mountain Revue any longer. Now the Jazz's biggest concern is whether Miles will be playing for another team entirely this season. Miles signed a four-year, $15 million contract Friday with Oklahoma City, according to sources. Utah will have seven days to decide about matching the offer sheet and keeping the restricted free-agent guard.

If they don't know what team plays in what city, they should quit reporting. This is ridiculous

July 19, 2008  11:21 AM ET

The Hornets don't play in OKC anymore, so what's going on?

July 19, 2008  11:32 AM ET

example #15 why players should go to college.

Miles played great last season when AK was injured and he started in his place. Same with the year before when he started the first 14 games, but the thing is Utah is just too loaded at the 2 and 3 positions so good for him looking for another opportunity. Hope he does well because he just cant crack the Jazz regular rotation. Plus the Jazz still want to use Morris Almond and he is good, really good pure shooter.

Drunk Eli, how 'bout them ANGELS!!!? This is irresponsible rumor-spreading. Is it the team formerly known as the Sonics or the Hornets? The same thing the city of Seattle did in keeping the "Supersonics" name, New Orleans should've kept the "Jazz" name. I hate seeing Utah's uniforms with "Jazz" over a mountainous background. Disrespectful to the legacy of New Orleans.

July 19, 2008  01:06 PM ET

No disrespect to the legacy "arejaydub." I have no idea whythe Jazz name stayed with the team when they moved. No disrepect from the mountain zone, I still have the Jazz note on a few hats, etc. I feel its the way it was/is. Old school? No disrepect meant, in fact I don't know how it would be meant to be dis-repectful?
Is Minn disrepected by the Lakers??? How about San Diego by the Clippers? Maybe you just hate Utah so much you want just one more reason?? Let's hate the agents and bad owners not the freakin towns and pure-fans and ballers. Peace and love to you and yours! PS I live in Cali, its easy to hate us.

I don't hate, I only appreciate. New Orleans is known for it's Jazz heritage, not Utah. In moving the franchise from NO to Utah, they never should've been allowed to take that name. The LAKERS & Clippers are appropriate for Cali. Marina Del Rey is very representative of the Clippers and we have enough lakes in SoCal to satisfy that requirement. Plus, the LOS ANGELES LAKERS has a nice ring to it as it just flows off the tongue. The Utah Jazz has never sounded right, will never sound right and I personally think they're cursed and will never win a 'ship because of that. HA!

WHAT'S UP? GET IT STRAIGHT. THE HORNETS ARE NOT IN OKIE CITY. TOO BAD THERE WILL BE IN TEAM THERE THIS YEAR BUT IT'S NOT THE HORNETS.

July 19, 2008  02:01 PM ET

If the hornets are able to get him than they should be the favorites because they lost no one and all their young players got some experience and should improve, plus they added Posey who's a very good defender and can guard Ginobili and Kobe and Miles will give them the depth they lacked last season

ROCKING YA FACE OFF,
How long do you think itll take a college graduate to make 15million ????? Not in 4 years douchbag him going to college wouldve been a bad mistake NUMBSKULL!!! Now he's 15million richer!!!!

July 19, 2008  07:34 PM ET

This is such a blow to the Jazz...how will they ever recover from this? This could be the end of the world. Why God? Why? Who cares I have never even heard of this guy.

July 19, 2008  07:50 PM ET

Jazz in Utah and Saints in NO????

Does anybody realize that the mormon church is actually the church of latter day saints??? they should just trade names and call it good.
