I wonder just how many players quietly retire never to be heard from again.

I would wager something like 99% Lady. Only the "name" players get attention. The perennial backups get dropped by a team and you forget they even existed.

Another one of those former great ones who can't call it quits and choose to be a shell of their former selves.

The AMAZING thing about this is that this HUGE man battled in the trenches for 14 yrs at a remarkably high level and can even consider playing a 15th. No doubt he is not the force he used to be but I imagine none of us could endure the physcial assaults he expereinced!!
