With Jeremy Shockey gone, the Giants' last remaining pre-camp headache appears to be Plaxico Burress. But there's nothing to worry about there, according to his agent, who said the receiver definitely will be in camp on time. Drew Rosenhaus, Burress' agent, told the Daily News Monday that his client will report to camp at the University at Albany Thursday morning with the rest of the Giants. And the receiver plans to be there whether he has a new deal in place or not.

There used to be a time (old school) that if a player bitched to much he was sent off to the worst team in the league as a labled trouble maker. I can't believe the Giants wouldn't love to ship this guy. It "is what it is" as they say. PLAXICO....sounds like the name of a toy...lol.

They better not ship him!!!! This guy burned Al Harris and made him eat his lunch in the title game!! He's the reason they won the Title game and the Super Bowl!! Pay the man!!!

You have got to keep this guy. Plax is a top tier receiver who presents matchup problems for most db's. One of the main reasons the giants won and by far the best offensive weapon they have even if he doesn't practice.

You've got to admire his work ethic. Report to camp and do your job new deal or not. Heck, I'd give him what he wants just for that.

I can't believe someone could say such an ignorant thing. He only played the entire season on a bum ankle, and played in the SB with a bum knee as well. Plax is underpaid and has outperformed his contract. When he signed he got a bad deal because of a bad reputation. I normally am opposed to renegotiating contracts but in this case the player has truly earned the money.

Send Plastico to the Saints too!

July 22, 2008  08:24 AM ET

Wait, I'm confused T&R, you print every little thing about Terry Glenn or some other Cowboy, but a huge trade just took place sending Shockey to New Orleans and not even one thread? I'm sure the Giant fans have some say on this considering they offense will suffer immensely without him this year. What say Giant fans? Any comments? I say turn this thread into a Shockey thread.

He is a great player. His blog and photos were found at wealthy men for beautiful women personals site "M e e t i n g W e a l t h y.c o m" last week. Is he single now? Just curious.

July 22, 2008  09:36 AM ET

story about Larry Allen, that should have retired two years ago, another about T. Glenn, whether he ought to pay the boys back for last year's gift.... but no SHockey story?
