Partners put heat on D-Wade
Miami Heat player Dwyane Wade is feeling the heat from business partners after a failed restaurant venture. On Friday, the company D Wade's Place filed suit in Miami-Dade Circuit Court against Wade, accusing him of breach of contract. The Palm Beach Gardens company partnered with Wade in August 2007 to open D. Wade's Sports Grill. The lawsuit claims that Wade ``failed to meet his advertising and promotional appearance obligations.'' Those obligations included making appearances at least four times a year at the restaurants and attending the grand opening of each new location. The suit contends that Wade's failure to promote the restaurants contributed to the closings in Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton and the delay in the opening of the Miami-Dade location. The suit also states that Wade advised the company that ``he does not intend to perform his future obligations.

It appears his "partners" were not willing to wait very long to see success. One location opened in January and closed in April. The other opened in April and closed last week. No sweat, Star Jones is an attorney. He'll be OK.

DWade is quickly becoming Penny Hardaway, ride Shaq's coattails, do a few commercials and then miss 50 games a season...what a bust he's going to turn out to be after he comes back this year and plays 25 games for a 25 win team.

If you sign a deal and say you are going to do things, then you need to do it. D Wade has always seemed kind of sketchy to me.
And, the guy who was pissed he left Marquette early. Come on. He's the only good news that has happened to Marquette basketball in the past 30 yrs.

why would anyone go into business with any athlete, they're all unreliable. They get involed with all these ventures and then decide they would rather do commericals, play golf, or go dancing!!!!!!!!!!!!!
