This guy should leave the organization altogether. First he's the head coach who leads the team to a Stanley Cup, then he becomes an assistant, now this "special assignment." Next thing he'll be doing the team's laundry. He's like the mentally challenged guy a business keeps around to make themselves feel good.

I doubt he wants the pressure of a head coaching job. Remember he had those stress issues a few years ago. Big Bird has nothing left to prove..

That's absolutely correct Peter. This is The Birds call and no-one elses. If he wanted a head coaching job he would get one. He seems to suffer under extreme stress...or maybe its just frustration...who knows, the point is he is quite content picking up his enourmours paychecks and bobbing along like a cork in a slow river.

Larry is finding it too stressful to be an assistant to a ranting Sutter? How can that be?

I'm sure he probably feels a bit slighted...as well he should.
Has Sutter ever won anything as a coach? (I'm sorry, I usually remember these things...need more tea)

Bauner, goot to hear from ya! Where you been? Yes, he does look like Popeye. Is that a can of spinach in his pocket, or is he just happy to see Brodeur?

He didn't want to be a head coach any more because he couldn't handle the stress. If that's the case, he should stick to raising race horses and go into retire from hockey altogether.

Baun-ded was on vacation in Newfoundland. They wouldn't let him leave. Said his passport was expired!

That's OK, Lamoriello will take over. he does it all, that man!

larry's got a good gig...I'm in the market for a special assignment type job if anyone knows of any.
