Carlos Boozer hinted during Team USA training camp that he plans to sign a contract extension with the Jazz when he becomes eligible to do so next summer. While teammate Deron Williams downplayed the idea that he would use his time with Boozer at the Beijing Olympics to lobby the power forward to re-sign with the Jazz now that Williams has done so - "he knows I want him here," Williams said - Boozer good-naturedly spoke about spending "the next four years" with Williams in Utah."

1. I'm tired of fengsa's ads.

2. I'd love to see Boozer stay, just like I would love to see David West stay with Chris Paul.

Not news at all. Wait til the contract expires.

1. It's a different name every day... and it IS pretty pathetic. I'd wager noone has visited the site.

2. If Deron Williams plans on staying in Utah long term, then Boozer will probably stay. I catch hell for where I'm from.... but staying in Utah? There's bad and then there's worse... Deron's personal life would lead me to believe he's on the next plane outta town the first chance he gets -- which by then may include a team in his favorite hangout, Las Vegas.

Thats what he said to Gordon Gund.......

Well, it does make sense for Boozer to stay in Utah since he's a brawny-looking fellow, and probably one of the few players in the league who actually resembles Karl Malone.
The combination of Deron Williams and Carlos Boozer creates a modern version of Stockton and Malone.
As for Salt Lake City being a boring place - well, it is. However, from what I hear, many more people have been moving there, and it's evolving into a bigger city. On the other hand, if there's not much to do there, one can catch a quick flight to Vegas, Seattle, or San Francisco for a day or two.

Apologies for the multiple posts - the web browser did that.
The browser was hanging, and when I repeatedly tried to Save the comment, I guess it got posted multiple times.

Boozer hints at staying in Cleveland??? Oh sorry that was five years ago.

He'll bail at the last second if he wants to. I would be careful if I was the Jazz.

Utah became a little more interesting after all that sect thingy; polygamy what not-
Atleast they don't need a 'secret' mistress; It can all be honest and open :-)

Boze and Wil are a very good combo; But I think a more important piece is a consistent shooter; Kyle krover had/had promise, but he is wayy too inconsistent; Plus no D.
replace Kyle with someone like James Posey, we prolly have atleast the western conf champions.

Boozer will stay alongside Williams and would be dumb to leave becasue they play so well together. Boozer was not an all star before Williams was feeding him the ball.

July 23, 2008  10:39 AM ET

If i remember right he said the same thing to the Cavs... we seen how well that worked out.
