Odd man out in Memphis?

Will he play in Memphis next season? That appears to be a 50-50 proposition as Javaris Crittenton, a 6-5 combo guard, is likely the odd man out in the five-way guard conundrum facing the Grizzlies. Crittenton, whom Memphis acquired in the Pau Gasol trade with the Lakers in February, is expecting to have another address fresh off his summer workout and the realization of where he fits in the pecking order. Reportedly, the Griz and Orlando Magic were engaged in trade talks regarding Crittenton soon after the summer league schedule. But GM Chris Wallace said Monday that nothing was imminent on any front.

It's a sad day when the Memphis Grizzlies don't have room for you.

So basically this dude was supposed to be a HUGE piece in the Gasol trade. Young talent and all.Now they want to get rid of him. So what did they get from the Gasol trade?? (other than cap).

Somewhere Kyle Lowry is screaming "What do I have to do to get outta this place?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

July 23, 2008  01:04 PM ET

Haha yeah he is.

I always liked Javaris he's a great player in the making.

Talented, etc....

Something has to happen. They have a million PGs. They get rid of one then they would still have more then any other team.

July 23, 2008  02:08 PM ET

he's a good young player who needs someone to take a chance....hopefully the kid can get some minutes playing elsewhere

July 23, 2008  02:10 PM ET

Yeah he can score and pass well, everything a pg needs to do...

July 23, 2008  02:22 PM ET

This makes sense. A good backup PG to Nelson and a solid 2 guard as well. Do it Orlando.

July 23, 2008  02:39 PM ET

Yeah he'll be starting in November for the Magic and plus he'll be insurance against Billups if they should meet Detroit again!!!!

July 23, 2008  03:39 PM ET

when are the Grizzlies going to move to Seattle?

July 23, 2008  03:47 PM ET

When the fans kick them out...anytime now lol.

July 24, 2008  12:43 AM ET

trade him to greece, most b-list players are wanting to follows childress there.

July 24, 2008  01:59 AM ET

Cut him loose so he can come back to the Lakers. He'll fit right, like before.

July 24, 2008  02:14 AM ET

The Heat need to make a move for this guy. A 6'5 point guard next to D-Wade ( if healthy) would be awesome for MIA. This guy is better than conley to me. I hope this kid goes to the right system.

hahahahahahahaha, 'they got Aaron Mckie ' in the trade as well. That's some funny xxxx.
