Someone just trade for this guy already. And Fuentes. And half the Pirates.

Dumb post by T & R. This blurb from the SF Chronicle has no content to it. No suggestion of whom the Reds might give up to get Huston Street, and no suggestion of why they need him. Although Cordero has been shaky for the last week, the Reds' bullpen in general has been much better than last year.

Why would the Reds want him right now?

The Reds should be trading everday players and starters/usual relievers for prospects, not the other way around.

Ive been an A's fan for 35-40 years now and it is really getting tiresome seeing the Athletics be the Major League's "Minor League" team to bring up talent, keep it for about 5 years (tops) and then trade it away. I think Street can work through the shoulder / arm problems he's had and be a force on the mound for Oakland. When will they stop trading GOOD TALENT AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

This would be a great pick up for the Mets, if they can dump Heilman and Schiewneis in the deal...

I agree with Irish, the Reds bullpen has been the least of their troubles this year, believe it or not. They do need a 3B, SS, C, LF, CF, and as many young arms for the starting rotation as they can get. That's not asking for much is it?
