Twins determined to upgarde at third
The Twins remain determined to upgrade at third base. They're still working on getting Adrian Beltre from Seattle and have spoken with the Rangers about Hank Blalock and the Indians about Casey Blake. With top Mets outfield prospect Fernando Martinez out with a leg injury, the Mets could ramp up their interest in Blake as well.

You can't have him. You have got to let this stinkin thinkin go, it will make you lose hair. I thought we had this cleared up yesterday or the day before. Liriano is maybe the best pitcher in baseball. If so, then why is he still in the minors.

Liriano is going to be called up, and either Blackburn or Perkins will go to the Pen and Bass will be sent off.

If I was the Twins GM, I'd try hard to get Blake. Seems like a good team guy, versatile... I like him better than Blalock and Beltre, myself.

you got the key word there IF... he has been having a ton of problems with his hands, they don't need any other problems at 3rd. even with Cuddyer playing there. i don't think his hand are good enough to play there.
