This is news- it's one of the theories why he went to Memphis- it's an Adidas school. You know he was getting paid or at least getting promises from them.

I don't understand the hype about Rose; he didn???t lead Memphis in scoring all year and in the tournament. His summer league appearance wasn???t impressive. I don???t see this guy making any noise in the NBA. I know he is going to be an okay point guard maybe a rod Strickland but not a franchise player to build your team around. The bulls are going to be kicking themselves in the head for not picking the obvious Beasley. If they trade any of their guards they have then they are through and won???t make the playoffs any time soon.

Derrick Rose had almost identical stats to Chris Paul in college except Paul played years while Rose played one. Rose also has proven to lead his teams to champships and and championship game by taking Memphis to the Finals in his first year and leading his high school to two back to back state finals wins. Rose has outstanding defense, blazing speed, and tremendous upperbody strength by being able to get to the basket effortlessly and finish. There are tons of reasons for all hype of Derrick Rose but I still don't know why he is getting a shoe deal without even playing in the NBA, but then again Jordan signed a shoe deal before he played a minute of NBA basketball.
