I hate articles that discuss uniform changes without actually showing, ya know, the changed unifroms. Would seem a logical thing to do.

I'm pulling for Nyan Boateng to have a good season with the Golden Bears. You know, I got to rep for Brooklyn. That's the football pride of Lincoln High School right there...so go get it out in Berkeley!!

Tedford had to do something to start the year afresh. Removing the names from the jerseys is good, but just points up the fact that Ted could not harness the stars he had on the team last year to work together. (Too lengthy to go into details, but he basically lost control after the lay-off week in Oct.) The receivers are gone now and he can try to get back the team concept. That's his most important job because he's got legitimate talent and could pull upsets. Right now Cal is slotted to pull in at #4 in the conference. A lot's going to ride on whether Ted can make the players believe in the team again. Success or failure will depend on that. If it's failure, Ted will be gone at the end of the season. I am rooting for you, Jeff.

I remember that Lou Holtz did the "No name on the jersey" thing to an undisicplined South Carolina team, but it didn't help much.

ewww....a gold stripe down the middle of the helmet?? you have to appreciate the tribute to the army with no names, but the stripe just can't happen.

Can you imagine what an artilce on Oregon Uniform changes would involve? It would be a damn 12 hr documentary...

PS I hope there is no more Oregonification of football uniforms. The Ducks look ridiculous is their candy wrapper uniforms.
