75% of College basketball photos in this section have to feature coaches LOSING IT for no good reason. Otherwise Fannation gets sanctioned by the NCAA.

They want to make sure he has a hard time leaving.

Crean loses the majority of his talent to other schools. Okay, wasn't he suppose to be able to fix these kids so they would LEARN TO RESPECT their school and the education system they rep? Looks to me he is having the reverse effect. He should have stayed at Marquette a few more years, and then left for a better system.

Wait for a better system??? Thats the dumbest thing i have ever heard. Once he turns IU around they will get more pub than any other team in the counrty. It's just like Notre Dame football, when things are going go there is no better place to play. Indiana basketball is the Mecca of basketball

Because he might be one of the most charismatic and talented coaches in the NCAAs. He had done a good job @ marquette, where it was hard to get players like other premier programs get their. So when players start coming here and he starts winning games. You'll see how good of coach he is and will become.

I can not believe this considered news. It had been rumored this was going to happen a month ago. These basketball players had been in classroom trouble all last season under s
Sampson. He was suspended along with Bassett and another player during this season. Where have you complainers been.
Basset was one of the players who bad mouthed Dackich and suspended. Just what was Crean suppose to do when he was still coaching at marquette.
Crean was also Greenspans choice instead of Sampson in 06. He was over-ruled by Robbie & delegates of the search party.
To think that Crean could fix rules that that were broken before he ever got here is not really being objective. The NCAA had already started its investigations and warned of upcoming penaltys before Crean even visited IU. Why would he have the backing of the players from the past. Benson, Lawskowski, I. Thomas, Graham& others.
