Miami, Duke land N.C. recruits
Two Victory Christian high school football players have committed to colleges, Kings assistant Don Robinson told the Observer on Wednesday. Defensive tackle Curtis Porter, a 6-foot-2, 325-pound senior, committed to Miami. Porter played at West Charlotte last season. Teammate Justin Fox, a 6-4, 225-pound defensive end, committed to Duke. Robinson said Victory Christian has two other players with college interest: Senior receiver Tevin Brentley has offers from Buffalo and Central Michigan. Quarterback Joshua Byrum is being recruited by Ball State, Duke, James Madison and N.C. State, Robinson said.
