Of course they couldn't make a move, the GREAT OMAR, has completely wiped out their minor league system. And the bottom line is that teams like the Pirates want to dump salary and get big time prospects. Omar has done a lousy job with the farm system.

The METS realy needed an upgrade... they had the chance and blow it, yes but... I think they still have a good shot if Churck comes back in good health and keeps playing well like he was.

Omar! Doing a lousy job?!?! He's doing a swell job... he's putting together the "LOS METS"! with over the hill "LATINOS" and has beens! Anybody that was good.( or WHITE for that matter!) he got rid of for us! Thank God!!!! We need guys like Tatis and Aliu and 'El Pukeie on the Mets! They take up valuble roster space! And if you can trade a Matt Linstome ( A guy that thoughs 99 M.P. H. heat mind you!) all the better! We don't need guys like that on the Mets! Give me Padros 85-86 M.P.H. Fastball anyday!

August 1, 2008  10:47 AM ET

did you also notice that Aliu and Tatis was with the Exps when Omar was G.M. There? Ya know? Right befor they canned him there? For doing the samthing to that team? "LOS EXPOS"! VIVA "THE 'LOS METS"!
