I honestly think that Stoops regretted his decision to let Jarboe stay after his initial problems. I think he was looking for a reason to end the Sooners relationship with Jarboe. IMO, he made the right decision for the team.

And really, if Stoops had waited until the kid got arrested again or actually shot somebody, everybody would be complaining that he ignored obvious warning signs.
