uuuhhh yeah I'm guessing you meant Darius Morris.

LOL..Darius Miles.....is that Les Miles love child?

But yeah, Darius Morris is a nice grab by Beilein. Hopefully he'll be a nice anchor to help get more competent players up to Ann Arbor and give Michigan a chance to compete again in Basketball. The next step is to get new facilities..

He's a good coach. He needs a certain type of player but if he can get his ideal guys he can work magic

Michigan basketball defined:

Signing the 70th-ranked player in the '09 class is HUGE news.

In East Lansing, we call that a walk-on.

Allan,

You are almost right. MSU has a great bball program. Hopefully the football -program will catch up and stop choking like a d list actress in a snuff film.

Warden:

Now that's comedy! Most of my friends are UM fans, and I take a lot of crap until basketball season starts.

Only 75 days until Midnight Madness!

Beilein is a good coach, but his offense is exactly like Rodriguez's. They will beat the teams they play once because of the gimmick. The downside is the teams they play consistently will figure out the gimmick offense. It happened to both in the BIG EAST.

Michigan basketball. Just what I needed with my lunch.

Hey Gibbs, do you know how to tell the difference between a State Fan and a Michigan Fan?

Michigan fans look forward to a real sport like football, while all State fans have is basketball.

August 4, 2008  12:11 AM ET

OMG, i can't believe it. Michigan landed the 70TH best player!! I think im going to cry.

August 4, 2008  10:56 AM ET

Hey Univ. of Michigan.
Any other West Virginia University coaches you want from us?
We'll keep training them, you keep trying to hire them away with your big bucks.

August 5, 2008  04:22 PM ET

How proud you must be.

August 7, 2008  11:28 PM ET

who cares

Michigan State would call the 70th best basketball player in the nation a walk-on? What have they done lately? He would instantly start for them. They need some more of those "walk-on's" cuz they haven't done much lately.

August 8, 2008  01:02 PM ET

I feel sorry for the kid. Michigan is horrible and will never win anything. The Wolverines are sad all the way around. I can't wait to see OSU kick the living tar out of their football team too. AGAIN

Jayhawkfan11 wonders what the Spartans have done lately?

Well, if "lately" means under Izzo: 1 National Championship, 4 Final Fours, Sweet 16 last year. How's that for lately?

The only way Darius Morris would "instantly start" start for State would be the sudden disappearance of Kalin Lucas, Chris Allen, Durrell Summers ... and the ballboy.
