Browns rookie turning heads

Everyone has to go looking for linebacker Alex Hall. His college football coach found him at a recruiting fair in Hall's home state of Maryland, and the Browns found him in the seventh round of the NFL Draft in April at the tiny Division II school of St. Augustine College in Raleigh, N.C. Ultimately, they might be glad they did. The 6-foot-5, 250-pound prospect has caused a couple of double takes at the Browns' training camp. Possessing size and speed, he might develop into a pass-rushing specialist. In the Browns' practice in front of more than 26,000 fans at Family Night on Friday, he showcased those skills by getting a sack.

Mmm, will fan nation let you refer to the Steelers as ****?

August 3, 2008  11:34 AM ET

****...how original. Oh yeah, how many Super Bowls have the Browns won? Or for that matter, how many have they been in? Big fat freakin ZERO! 5-1 baby! If I remember correctly, the last time the Brownies made the playoffs, they blew a large lead with 5 minutes left to ****.

...but you're still from pittsburgh. You have trucks balls hanging from your redneck truck, and spend all your welfare money on steelers tickets.

You must not watch the NFL much....Cleveland is FAST becoming a team to be reckoned with in the AFC.

"Cleveland is FAST becoming a team to be reckoned with in the AFC."

hmm or more so, a team of equal talent in the afc north. frankly none of those teams gets a free ride for divisional games this season. not sure how much the secondary losses will hurt the brown's this season. they are going to be better against the ground this season, which is something you need in the afc north.

What a s*ck bunch of s*ckers on this site! Oh, I just saw, it is an article about the Cl*veland Br*owns--never mind!

When you have personel people can find big time players in the final couple rounds there's a pretty good chance you'll have a winning team for years to come.
The brownies will win that division this year. Ben R. is a very average QB and the steelers have benefited from a good running game,o-line and D that I don't think will be there this year.
polumalu? is breaking down and will not play a full season,he's on the downside and he's their best defencive player.

That's funny, cause he's the only QB in the AFC North to have a playoff win under his belt, not to mention he's had a QB rating at 95 or better in 3 of 4 seasons, the one exception being the season he crashed his motorcycle, had an appendectomy and at least on concussion. And by the way, do you feel DA is anything more than very average?

The Steelers D will be fine, all but one starter returning from last year, and Woodley will be an upgrade over the one starter that the Steelers let go, Haggans.

August 3, 2008  03:48 PM ET

P360, I agree. The demise of the Steelers is greatly overestimated.

You have trucks balls hanging from your redneck truck, phillycheeser

What the hell does this mean? I think I should be insulted, but I don't think it's possible to be insulted by a mental midget.

it only took about a year for big ben to dummy down to their level(remember he's originally an ohio boy), he wrecks his motorcycle along with his face. now i guess he fits right in with the rest of the inbred bunch down in "stiller nation"

Actually, we DO know football.

Ben 65.3% completion rate, 32 TD 11 Int QB rating 104.1
DA 56.5% completion rate, 29 TD 19 Int QB rating 82.5

Who's average?

AFC North Titles

Steelers 4
Brownies 0

Playoff wins since 1999 (the return of...ah you know who)
Steelers 7
Brownies 0

I guess Brownies fans can just call us names b/c they sure as hell can't back up their arguements with actual football numbers.
