Entering his eighth season, Ralph Friedgen is contemplating a number of strategies - including scheduling more games with geographic rivals, working to expand the booster group and adding new incentives to motivate players - for ensuring the program is on an upward arc. Maryland and West Virginia next meet in 2010. Friedgen said he would also like to schedule more games with Navy, whom the Terrapins last played in 2005 and don't meet again until 2010.

Yes Ralph...more games w/ Navy and William and Mary...less games w/ West Virginia, that's a winning strategy

Friedgen's plans are for a deliscious turtle soup!

Poor Terps...will suck again this year...

I love big Ralph, he's brought respectability back to Maryland football.

He has done a decent job, but it took 8 years for these "revelations" ??

The question is: WHO'S GOING TO BEAT THE SEC? Isn't that the real question here. All other conferences are competing to see which one will face the SEC CHAMPION. Everybody else is doing some kind of funny dance routine. Hey, who's going to win the best cheerleaders this year? That's the only question here.

God I love college football. It just doesn't get any better. Hey fan nation, I've already succeeded in picking two NCAA Champions: LSU and Kansas. I'm on a roll Fannation.

College Football/North vs. South - After the Game:
NORTH: The stadium is empty way before the game ends.
SOUTH: Another rack of ribs goes on the smoker while somebody goes to the nearest package store for more bourbon. Planning begins for next week's game. Nothing else in the universe comes even halfway close to the glories of SEC Football!..

Better win against CAL this year, Ralphie Boy.

Welcome to the Big 10. Home to 3 of the 5 largest stadiums in the country and you still can't buy a ticket at the box office.

Basic,

I agree about the 3 stadiums in the big ten, now go research how many 90,000+ and 80,000+ stadiums are in the SEC and compare it to the big ten.

Maryland was coming around last year at the end, and I know Freidgen had some good teams there before by watching them play WVU. They used to be a real tough team on the schedule, and I will miss the WVU/Maryland rivalary until it comes back in 2010. Also I would rather WVU play Maryland this year in Morgantown than play Colorodo in Boulder. WVU got screwed there, but it gives them more national exposore. I think the Terps will be just fine under Ralph though.

Ralph has done a great job of making college football relevant again in College Park. Lets not forget that we were consistently one of the worst programs since Bobby Ross left in the 80s and now we finally have something to look forward to on Saturday afternoons besides the tailgate!

Actually thery would probably suffocate if they were under Ralph.

I hope Ralphie Boy stays at Maryland a long time. I think he's a good coach and has made the program much better in the time he's been there.
