07:53 AM ET 06.10 | With top goalie prospect Tuukka Rask recently signed, the Bruins could try to package their No. 8 pick with Hannu Toivonen as a means of moving, say, 2-3 slots higher to get a chance at landing defenseman Keaton Ellerby in the draft. General manager Peter Chiarelli recently said that he has received calls from other GMs about Toivonen, but quickly added that he has had calls on a number of players.

to be honest Hannu is to young to trade away, something the old regime has done to much. and Tuukka has only seen the american game in a seat from the stands in Providence, I don't think trading Hannu is a good idea at all. the only goalie the team has that knows how to win is Tim Thomas, stay where they are and sign a free agent, then again trade Hannu for another top notch goalie then you have two good NHL goalies.
and sign a free agent sniper. my kids don't listen to me so why would anayone else.

If the Bruins don't find a way to replace Tim Thomas, they will never have any chance of significant improvement. This guy, while likable, is the most overmatched obviously in-over-his-head **** Wee level goalie that is mistakenly employed by a so-called major league team. He continues to fool the people who know nothing about goaltending with his ridiculous circus saves on routine shots, poor rebound control, nonexistent angles and compltely unprofessional play. Goal after goal while the idiots nod their heads and say, "ooh, another one that wasn't his fault! Great save before that though." Bruins! Find a real NHL goalie!!! Look at JS Gigiuere... in position... under control... no overacting and silly flopping around. Thomas is flat out embarrassing.

The Bruins ownership and management is only slightly better than the Blackhawks. That's not saying a lot about that franchise, is it?

ii say trade Joey MacDonald from Providence. He played for Detroit (my favorite team) and he wasnt that good. He played 8 games for Detroit and went 1-5-1 with 27 goals against. He is good but the Oilers are looking for a back-up goalie and MacDonald could be their back-up. Maybe the Bruins should trade MacDonald to the Oilers. The Capitals have goalie problems also and Phoenix has almost nobody good and he could fill any of those teams needs. The Bruins could have the 3rd, 5th, or 6th overall pick if they did that. Considering it works.
Also ii think Thomas is a good goalie and he is not an embarrasment and ii do believe he is ready for the NHL level but ii believe he would be a good back up goalie.
