Kentucky kicks QB off team
Kentucky football coach Rich Brooks says quarterback Curtis Pulley has been kicked off the team for violating team rules. Brooks made the announcement Tuesday at the team's preseason media day. Last week, Brooks had said Pulley would miss playing time for his recent brushes with the law but still had a chance to win the starting job for the Wildcats. Pulley was arrested on traffic charges last month in Hardin County. In June, he also received a citation for marijuana possession in Louisville. Pulley missed last season because of academic reasons. Pulley had been competing with sophomore Mike Hartline to succeed Andre Woodson as the Wildcats' starting quarterback. The dismissal likely moves Will Fidler to second on the depth chart. Fidler also was arrested last month on a disorderly conduct charge for an incident outside a Lexington restaurant.

Traffic arrests, mary-jane, disorderly conduct. Ah the life of football players now a days, they are still listening to their parents stories of how the cops used to let everything slide for them, but the cops don't do that anymore cause they are the kids that went to college and got crapped on by the football players who got away with everything.

Sounds like Kentucky has a case of the Ryan Perriloux's.

Tigerbait,
Pulley is a scrambling QB, who has seen some time at WR, but by no means does he have Perriloux's athletic ability.
Does Brian get much playing time? Is there hope that Mike has the same athletic ability as Brian?
We need more players getting in trouble if we are going to beat Illinois out for the Fulmer Cup.

I wasn't comparing Pulley's athletic ability to Ryan Perrilloux's abilities. I was just comparing the situations. Both schools had to dismiss their likely starting QB because of a series of trouble each player got himself into.

I didn't think you would be. Just making sure. I don't think the starting job had been decided, though.
