Hlavac picks Sweden over Preds

At least one player the Predators considered signing is no longer an option. Forward Jan Hlavac has chosen to sign with Linkoping of the Swedish elite league instead of returning to Nashville, his agent said Wednesday. Agent Ritchie Winter said the Predators did make Hlavac a one-year offer, but for less money than what the veteran forward had hoped for after posting 13 points in 18 games with Nashville following his arrival from Tampa Bay at the trade deadline. Winter said Hlavac was looking for a contract in the neighborhood of $1 million, but the team never offered more than the average of the recent two-year extension given to Jerred Smithson -- about $740,000.

The answer is: YES! They have Buttman as their patron saint and divine protector! Nothing! And I mean, nothing is going to happen to the Preds while the Holy Midget is looking after them!!

And when the midget gets in trouble, watch him throw Nashville under the big NHL bus to KC or wherever. Not Hamilton though, he doesn't know where that is

They shoot horses don't they? Put Nashville out of it's misery.

Jan Hlavac must really like Sweedish meatballs!

Hank and DC might like this one ....

He would have picked Albania over the Preds.

Who's that guy in the corner with the horns in the fur coat?
Cause that's about when that would happen in Bettman's NHL

Careful, Tom and John might start sniffing around.......

"Why are we talking about the problems with the sale of the Nashville franchise? The real problem here is the dangerous drugs that therapists prescribe. Prescription drugs are a hoax." "Like, it's so weird, we totally thought the guy had the money. Oh my gaw." Tom, John, thanks for showing up and you still contribute absolutely nothing of merit to the world.

Actually, I say good job Preds. If the guy doesn't take the contract he was offered... oh well. Unlike other teams, Nashville doesn't overspend for players who don't deserve the pay.

BTW: Buttman is not our patron saint. Get a clue. He does our club no favors by mixing us in with negative crap he spews forth.

"Put Nashville out of it's misery." Heh. Exactly the type of comment I'd expect from Hank these days. Shoot Buttman instead.

Just call me the "yin" to your "yang".

I've never changed my position on this. So these days are just like those days....

Hank: Hahaha! Quite true. You and I both have the same thing going for us. We stand firm in our beliefs.

In all seriousness... in spite of the fact that I disagree with 90% of what you say, I still enjoy our banter back and forth.
