Clemens seeks home court advantage

Roger Clemens asked a United States judge to let a Texas jury decide if his former trainer slandered him with accusations that he used performance-enhancing drugs. In court papers filed after hours Thursday in Houston, Clemens urged United States District Judge Keith Ellison to reject the trainer Brian McNamee???s motion to either throw out the defamation case or try it in New York. McNamee's "statements were intentionally calculated to -- and did -- cause their greatest harm to Clemens in Texas," Rusty Hardin, Clemens's lawyer, said in an 80-page response. Clemens has denied using performance-enhancing drugs and has asked that a jury in his hometown of Houston decide whether he or McNamee is telling the truth. Clemens wants jurors to award damages if they find McNamee's statements harmed Clemens's reputation.

Do Clemens and Hardin actually believe this judge is as ignorant and oblivious to reality as they both are? I know this story/saga/circus has been over-hyped and over-reported on, but Hardin and Clemens still manage to amaze me/drive me into a frenzy with their arrogance/ignorance.

Your missing the point not everyone did it, thats what makes it wrong. There probably are people who lost their jobs because people were doing it.

i don't really care what happens in this case, since when it happened it was illegal to take anything, there were NO tests to find it, still aren't going to find everything out there.

what does clemens hope to get from his former trainer?? MONEY??? he doesn't have any??? he Respect back??? he lost it the way he behaves? THE HOF?? doesn't mean he will get it back?

But i will say one thing, WHO in world keeps gauze, blood stains, ect in a beer can for 6 to 8 years.. who in their right mind does this.. does he have proof of Debbie Clemens too??
