Faced with an injury-depleted offensive line, the Bears could begin this season the same way it ended 2007. The team has contacted veteran tackle Fred Miller about making a return to the team, according to Miller's agent. Agent Harold Lewis said Miller, 35, is mulling whether to sign with the Bears, Texans or Ravens. The decision could be finalized in the next day.

im sure he'll stick with the beras because he's old and he needs a system he's used to...with only 3 games left for most NFL teams right now in the preseason we cant get someone in here that doesnt know the system and the players...

More Bears bungling. Williams, the much heralded, but way overrated left tackle, is down so they have to resuscitate this corpse. It just get worse and worse.

oh god no anyone but fred miller i think he saw our quarterback more than the d-lineman running past him on every play

Raven's actually have a much better chance...new coirdinator will utilize there weapons more effectively..a defense in their prime...they remind me of the '04 falcons almsot with smith under center..mgahee and heap as dunn and crumpler...mcallister as halll and ray lewis as ray lewis...

Bears should've traded next year's 1st round draft pick for Brett Favre straight up... Williams is yet another example of the growing evidence that Jerry Angelo has absolutely no business choosing a 1st rd. draft pick.

The Bears should move Tait to LT and have a public competition to fill the RT spot. 1/2 the bouncers in Chicago would make better OLmen than social-security-collecting Fred Miller. He was TERRIBLE (Kenny) every down he ever played with the Bears, and it's only b/c Angelo is a **** that we have to go crawling back to him. If I'm Miller I tell the Bears to give me $10M guaranteed.

Are da' Bears so desperate that they are willing to try and resucitate a cadaver?

I guess that's what happens when you put all your eggs in one basket!

And I thought things couldn't get any worse for my beloved Bears. And then I read that Williams is down and out and Fred Miller may be coming beck. <Sigh>

You don't mean "basket," you mean "McCasket."
