Joba: I will be back in 2008

Though nobody in the Yankees organization will guarantee Joba Chamberlain will pitch again this year, the fiery right-hander said he doesn't believe the rotator-cuff tendinitis that landed him on the disabled list this week is season-ending. In fact, Chamberlain said to look for him in a game before September. "I'll be throwing in a week. I'll probably throw the beginning of next week," Chamberlain predicted yesterday from the Yankees' Tampa facility.

Heee-Heee, no your not. Your the suppossed golden boy. Your gonna be handled with kid gloves. We don't see you for the rest of the year.

could this be Mark Fidrych

If Joba's finished this season, so are the Yankees. They need him if they're going to make the playoffs.

The Yankees will only shut him down when they are out of the race, or if he isn't medically cleared..... teams in the playoff hunt don't treat their stars with kid gloves.... they try to ride them into the postseason.....

I could care less if he comes back...let's look at the big picture here.

This kid is the real thing, bound for greatness. Noone , not fans or more importantly scouts, disputes these facts.

Dear Joba I WANT YOU BACK in 2008, when we play you, while my memory is fresh of how you tried to bean me !!!

They were also moving up until he went down. They will continue to fade without him. They could catch up with Joba in the rotoation. I think he's the best young pitcher in the game.

He needs to come back and send that POS that pitched last night back down to single A to start all over again

I agree with dogerfan....
I'm a Yankee fan & I'm not 'giving up' but in reality-
we are going to battle with 2-3 stable starters (including Joba)
that's just not going to get it done.
