Having successfully orchestrated his divorce from Boston and his landing in with the Dodgers, Manny Ramirez would like to make life miserable for the Red Sox during the next few seasons. According to people who have spoken to the eccentric outfielder since he was dealt to L.A. on July 31, Ramirez wants to sign a free-agent deal with the Yankees this offseason and get 19 chances a year to punish Boston. "He wants to play for the Yankees so he can get at the Red Sox," a close friend of Ramirez's told The Post.

Manny refuses everything the Yankees value. Why would they want this tool? There are plenty of players who want to be Yankees. The Yankees will focus on Teixeira and Sabathia this off season.

Stevei Wonder to the Yankees? I guess he must be a better option than Melky Cabrera.....

I thought after 24 hours, LA was the place that he wanted to end his career in? This guy is out of his mind and can't think straight. If he wasn't such a good hitter, I think he would be homeless.

Texeira is going to Baltimore.

Manny following A-Rod would be murderous.

The Yanks will do anything to get better... and signing Manny would definitely make them better.

Hopefully his "decline" will start about that time, if it happens.

That's what I'm hoping for. Next year he gets Andrew Jones disease.

Muck Fanny!

This guy, even with his egocentric antics, would still be remembered fondly by Red Sox fans based on his contributions to the '04 and '07 World Series title... as long as he plays for any team except the Yankees. Sign with someone else, Manny.

God I now wish Farnsworth connected with that fastball!

Lets go for gold people, why not let Jeff George throw a billiard ball at Mr. Manny?

**** you Manny and Borish, go peddle your bullspit somewhere else.

Girardi and the Steinbrenners having to deal with Manny would be murderous to the Yankees. Manny won't change just because he changes uniforms.

August 9, 2008  08:45 AM ET

He couldn't play for the Yanks anyway. They wouldn't accept his greasy, grimey appearence. He probably has more flys buzzing around him than Joba had during that playoff game.

Just for the sake of the FN threads, I hope this happens..... since there are no walk in urinals in the Yankee stadium LF fence, maybe he can find a monument to p*iss on.....
