Tough first practice for Favre
As soon as the estimated 10,500 Jets fans at Saturday's practice -- four times the usual turnout and many of them already wearing their new No. 4 jerseys -- spotted Brett Favre wearing his red No. 4 jersey when he made his way to the practice field, they began to roar. When he waved to them during warm-ups, they went crazy, as if his first touchdown pass had already been completed. And that was just the start. They groaned when Chris Baker dropped two straight passes. They cheered a deep incompletion -- at least the ball traveled far, they seemed to think. They gasped at how hard Favre throws the ball. And they were silent when Favre, who in addition to holding most of the good passing records also holds the one for most career interceptions, threw his first one as a Jet, to linebacker Matt Chatham. "There were times in practice today I wondered if I made the right move," Favre said. " knew today would be tough. I was probably overly excited and I' going to pay for it tomorrow." By the end of the two-hour practice, Favre looked ragged and weary. This was the first time he had put on shoulder pads since the loss to the Giants in the National Football Conference championship game in January, and the five months away from football was finally taking a toll.

But if I did what you suggest, where would you be without me to give your life meaning.

Wrong again, chipmunk cheeks. My husband and I have been married for 35 years and have two grown sons. Don't you EVER get tired of being wrong about people?
Have a splendid day. = -]

I'll be rolling in laughter when Favre throws that first interception at the wrong time and all of the idiot New York/New Jersey fans who got their Favre jerseys this weekend will be the same idiots showering him with boos in the dump at East Rutherford. This could go down as the best evidence to the ignorance of sports fans of NYC market franchises in the NYC Tri-State area.

You'd think considering how wrong the anti-Favre contingent were wrong about him last year (2nd best QB in the league, runner up MVP) they would give the old man a chance.

He'll come around Jet fans. I've watched him for 16 years start out the same way and he has had only non-productive seasons. However, I don't think I have ever heard him second guess himself on a returning for another year...thats where I begin to wonder. I guess only time will tell and I will be eagerly watching every game.

There's a blast from the past. I'll see that and double the pot with a Larry Wilson.
