Garcia unhappy with Bucs
Jeff Garcia is not completely healthy or happy. But he still has his job as the Bucs' starting quarterback and his sense of humor. Garcia returned to practice Monday, in a limited capacity, for the first time since sustaining a calf strain 11 days earlier. He also spoke publicly for the first time since General Manager Bruce Allen and Coach Jon Gruden admitted to pursuing a trade for Brett Favre. Any hard feelings? "I'm just a journeyman according to some people. Why should I have any hard feelings?" Garcia said with a slight smile. "I'm thankful to have this job. I might pay Bruce and Jon for bringing me out here." The Bucs added to Garcia's disappointment when they looked into trading for former Green Bay quarterback Favre. Asked on Monday if he had any hard feelings about the attempted trade, Garcia did not say no, but expanded on his position. "What am I going to say? It's the unfortunate part of the business. That's what this sport is. It has two sides," Garcia said. "Obviously, a game for all of those who play on the field and love to play the game, but there is a business side, too. Part of teams trying to reach that championship position is trying to strengthen their team. "Whether they thought that Favre trade was strengthening or not, as much as I believe that I can be a strong point for this team, that is what they had to look into. So be it. It's all said and done. We're moving forward."

For some reason, while I read about this dude crying and whining about a trade that didn't happen i thought to myself "this dude is gay". Then I just laughed when I remembered what T.O. said. "If it looks like a rat, talks like a rat, then BY GOLLY, it's a rat.

This is the same mercenary who has played several teams against each other during his several trips through free agency - no one asks how the teams feel, who cares how he feels. It is a business, man up and shut up.

A decent QB, but he strikes me as one of those guys you just do not really want to be around. Maybe that is why he keeps moving around..

Why would Garcia be upset with the Bucs? Oh yeah, never mind.

Garcia has every right to whine and mope this time. It doesn't indicate his orientation, I am sure there are many men with his oreintation who do not whine and complain in a high pitched voice, like aaron Rodgers, "They said I was the starter"

They love and want you in Tampa Bay.....until somebody better comes around!
Aren't we ALL just a CH away from being canned by the companies we work for under the same circumstances
How is his situation different from anyone else's in America?
At least he gets paid to play football instead of running a bone saw at the local slaughterhouse.....

For the record... Garcia is not gay.
He should just forget about the whole Favre thing though, and play the game. The only way to shut everyone up, including his coach and GM, is to play lights out this season, outperform Favre statistically, and lead the Bucs to the playoffs. Then he will have vindicated himself nicely.

You'd whine and complain too if there were 6 competitors for your job working in your cubicle.

I can understand his frustration. I am sure that the Favre chase and the fact that Gruden doesn't commit to him is enough to send him over the edge but with that said he needs to just man up and play.

Garcia is an average journeyman at best. Any team with him at QB would look at the potential of adding a HOF QB. It's just common sense.
