Wolfpack lands S.C. recruit
While preparing for its Aug.28 season opener at South Carolina, N.C. State is establishing a recruiting presence in its border state to the south. On Monday, receiver Quinton Payton of T.L. Hanna High in Anderson, S.C., became the second S.C. player to commit to the Wolfpack in two weeks. Payton also considered Wake Forest and Duke. As a junior, Payton caught 51 passes for 822 yards and nine touchdowns, according to the Anderson Independent-Mail. He joins Gaffney offensive lineman Denzelle Good, who chose N.C. State in late July, as a Wolfpack commitment.

He most likely realized that his chances for PT were diminished at USC with the glut of good receivers returning.

Considering his other choices were Duke and WF... apparently he wasn't too good anyway. Sounds like he would have got murdered in the SEC

true...but from what I've seen over the years...I'd rather be coached by Saddam than Spurrier.
