Another Kansas RB to transfer
The Kansas football team is down to four running backs. KU sophomore running back Donte Bean has decided to transfer from KU, Bean confirmed to The Star on Monday. He will join backfield mate Carmon Boyd-Anderson, who announced his intention to leave the program on Sunday, in finding a new football home. "I wanted an opportunity to get on the field and play more," Bean said. "I thought it would be a better opportunity to go to another school. We've got a whole group of running backs right now." Hardly. The Jayhawks look good at the top with junior-college transfer Jocques Crawford, junior Jake Sharp and junior Angus Quigley, but depth will be an issue. The only other scholarship running back available is redshirt freshman Rell Lewis, who is making the move from wide receiver.

Look at the rolls in the sweater. I'm not trying to be a jerk but for the sake of his health, Mangino needs to lose weight and fast.

Yeah, we our losing our 4th and 5th string RB's. Whoa! That will make us terrible.
ATLJAMES. Go do some research. KU returns 18 of 22 starters. We won 12 games last year.
Deal with it.

"We won 12 games last year" How many times can you or any other KU say that?
I bet only once! & I bet it wont happen again. Enjoy it while it lasted

Him, Parcells, Weis, Friedgen,etc.. These are smart guys: maybe it's just hard for them to do.

Maybe George but damn that can't be good for them to carry all that weight.

What Kansas did last year was phenomenal. Coach Mangino and his players should be very proud of what they accomplished. That has to be one of the most surprising runs by a college football team this decade. Great job Jayhawks.
Unfortunately for KU and their fans, Kansas will not win 12 games again, IMO.

Of course KU wont be as successful as last year. They were the only team in the nation not to lose more then one game. But, for anyone to say KU SUCKS, is a crazy statement. They will win 7 or 8 games. Mangino has turned that program around. We aren't National Title Contenders, but we are a respectable program now who expects a bowl game.
The only thing greater then being in attendance at the Orange Bowl, was watching OSU lose again in the National Title game.

I didn't make any fat jokes here or in the last post about Mangino, O Sometime-Fan-of-the-Irish. You need to have your motherboard adjusted, methinks.
PS You should change your name to something clever like "Hoosier Daddy" or
"Jones-ing for Indiana." Or better yet, "I can't make up my mind between Indiana and ND."

In George's defense no fat jokes were made. I was just pointing out that for health reasons Mangino could lose some weight. I'm not trying to be a jerk or be disrespectful but he honestly looks like he's about 500 pounds.

Thanks, J. Hova, but "C n' C" likes to find fault with old George ever since I pointed out that while he rooted in his posts for ND, he calls himself "Crean n' Crimson" - which of course screams Indiana.

OK, Pillow-biter (Sorry, couldn't resist):
1 - KU has a good program built on hard work and patience, a la Virgina Tech. And like VT, KU will start recruiting better players year after year until the coach quits or dies of a heart attack.
2 - KU plays Texas, Oklahoma, and Texas Tech this year. Arguably, the three strongest Big 12 teams. Although KU returns 18 or 22 starters, this might not be such a great year for KU on the gridiron. I'd love to see them beat OU and UT, but they can't do both, I don't think.
3 - Are you on the team? If you said, "My jayhawks won..." or "KU won..." it would be different... At least tell me your an alum.
