Just another back up on the shopping/chopping block. Some are just destined to be nothing more that that.

August 13, 2008  06:43 AM ET

Shopping? Shopping? But nobody is buying.

August 13, 2008  06:46 AM ET

Just wait until the first injury to a QB in training camp ...

August 13, 2008  07:00 AM ET

Oooo, here's the story of the day 'ere boys. Who would want McCown? He's a dang retread with a nail in the sole. Reminds me of Ryan Leaf, without the hype.

Beck? Don't know a thing about him, and I live in Miami, and watched him play! But last year was so awful that you couldn't even tell what you had iin him!

Dolphins will end up keeping Beck for he's the jolly good sophmore. McCown will be released, who'd pay him to sit on their bench??

We need a backup in Dallas but not that desperate where we'd consider these stiff's (I hope)!

You'd be lucky to get more than a six pack and a free donkey ride for either one of 'em.....

August 13, 2008  07:24 AM ET

I think that McCown would be a good backup in Dallas. He is from Texas.....bring him back home, because he is a definite upgrade from Brad Johnson. He is a Very Poor Mans version of Tony Romo.

August 13, 2008  07:50 AM ET

Trying to shop their wasted draft picks.... Good luck with that

August 13, 2008  07:50 AM ET

Right now anyone would be an upgrade from Brad Johnson AL!

August 13, 2008  07:54 AM ET

He will get cut tho.....so you don't have to use a draft pick on him. I would rather have McCown than Chris Simms.

August 13, 2008  08:10 AM ET

This is what Dennis Green said about McCown when he drafted him.
Drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the 2002, "I think he's going to be a great one, when I buy into a quarterback, I really do."
OK, Denny, he is all yours...

August 13, 2008  08:23 AM ET

Josh McCown might get a call or two if he hits the wavier wire. Nobody will trade anything for him though.

August 13, 2008  08:32 AM ET

of course they are ... they aren't the Tampa Bay Bucs that want to start 11 QBs ... in fact ... Tuna, give Gruden a call

August 13, 2008  08:56 AM ET

Well at least they have Chad!!.. of course I fully expect him hurt within 3-4 games...

August 13, 2008  09:11 AM ET

McCown is gone, nobody will trade for these guys and you can't cut a high draft pick like Beck.

August 13, 2008  09:12 AM ET

Dolphins now have two Chad's, Henne and Pennington. Which one are you talking about......or is it both?

Well, if he's saying "hurt within 3-4 games" my guess would be Pennington - his body is about strong as a grape

August 13, 2008  09:52 AM ET

...o, so is his arm
