Portland's roster looks very dangerous (Roy, Aldridge, Bayless, Oden, etc..) With a year of experience and gelling, I am sure that they would make it to the 3rd or 4th seed of the western conference playoffs.

I agree, Oden is a beast on defense, while Aldridge is a good scorer, like Brandon roy.

They are a great talent, but I think they'r still atleast one veteran front court and one veteran back court player short to make too much noise in the West. I was hoping they get some vets, but unfortunately not happenned this summer.

This Blazers team are way on the rise. They probably have the complete core of a team. They have the center in Oden, the PF in aldridge, the all star all around player in Roy. They are scary. Experience is all they need right now. I hope Oden and Aldridge can match the play of David Robinson and Tim Duncan. That would be the best comparison for those 2. Roy is an underrated superstar and will prove that he can carry the team.

The minimum expectation for the upcoming season is to make the playoff. No matter how young, inexperience, etc, etc.... Those excuses only last so long.

The team is too loaded for any other outcome. But they need to come out of the gate ready, because their Nov/Dec schedule is just brutal.

Bottom line...get into the playoffs this year and get the REAL lesson(aka...getting spanked) out of the way. Then in 2009, the Blazers can finally say they have arrive and it's time to regain their dominance of the Drexler era.

Is it October yet??? Can't wait.
