Ravens LB targeting Steeler?

Bart Scott has regained his memory. That became clear Tuesday morning at McDaniel College, site of the Baltimore Ravens' training camp, when the outspoken, seventh-year linebacker was asked if he remains bitter toward Steelers receiver Hines Ward. Scott, you may recall, threatened retribution after Ward delivered a pair of seismic blocks -- one on Scott and one on safety Ed Reed -- during the Steelers-Ravens game Nov. 5 at Heinz Field. Ward was held out of the Dec. 30 rematch to rest an injury before the playoffs. Neither block was penalized. Scott thought they were cheap shots. Is retribution still coming? "I never forget," Scott said. "So, we shall see."

Grow up. You should be embarrassed about wanting to "get back" at a WIDE RECEIVER. You outweigh him by how much? Tough guy......

HELLS YEA. Can't wait for the season to start

August 14, 2008  08:27 AM ET

Receivers take those kind of shots every game. Just shut up and play. It is a two way street.

nothing like the love each team in the afc north holds for the other teams in the afc north. every team considers each team in the north their most hated rival. makes for some great games 1/3 of the season.

Crackback blocks are a part of the game. I love them.....that's why you keep your head on a swivel. If he is so worried about Hines Ward, that will open up running lanes. The Steelers will win regardless.

for anyone that missed the hits ward put out:

What a ****...two of you get drilled on legal hits in a division game, and you want to threaten retribution? Please...do it on the field. What was one of the first things you learned playing defense as a kid? KEEP YOUR HEAD ON A SWIVEL. Guess you guys forgot. Good for Ward, keep the hits coming, except on Sept 21st of this season, you can stay home for that one.

Exactly 50yearfan, WR's get hit like that 10 times a game, are tney threatening revenge? No, they just go out and handle like a man, like Hines Ward does. I've always liked that about him, he's tough, willing to block and not some diva like Randy Moss, afraid to go across the middle. Ward may not have his numbers, but Ward has the bling...

Ya know ... I REALLY try not to hate entire teams.

SERIOUSLY ... I do!

But the Ravens are .. without a doubt ... the biggest loud-mouth wusses in the game.

They're always talking smack about other players - even after they LOSE and the player they're talking crap about is one of the players that made them look pathetic on the field.

They were talking smack after the Steelers beat the HELL out of them 38-7.

Ben threw five touchdown passes in the first half and finished with a perfect passer rating of 158.3 and the Steelers defense held them to five first downs and 104 total yards.

And some of them are STILL complaining?

UNBELIEVABLE!

Ray Lweis, Bart Scott, Trevor Pryce ... part of a team of totally classless whiners.

Imagine that, another Raven's defensive player running his mouth. Post a 5-11 record and you think you have the right to talk trash. That's about status quo for the Ravens. The Ravens defense makes a routine tackle after a running back gains 3 yards on them and they celebrate like they just won the Superbowl. Bunch of morons.

August 14, 2008  09:31 AM ET

I love a receiver that's not afraid to dish out a hit. Many run their route and that's it. Hines is old-school and I like it.

August 14, 2008  09:38 AM ET

I hope he knocks the hell out of them again...Hines is da man...

August 14, 2008  10:00 AM ET

Bart Scott = Wuss Record against Steelers this year will be 0-2 I just love these "tough" line backers who can dish it out but cry like little girls when wide receivers give some back. Hines will bury you again bro

August 14, 2008  10:12 AM ET

Bart.....You play football and your complaining that you got hit too hard?

Wow!

August 14, 2008  10:35 AM ET

Bart Scott is a common...why don't you ask your Wizard GM to trade for Anthony Smith if you're that worried about hitting a receiver....cripes!
