I agree with bostongm. Maybe some competition will get buttman off his **** and start doing something right for a change. Maybe the owners will see he's killing the league ( thier cash cow) and get him out and get someone who can get this league going in the right direction.

The KHL can draft the players all they want. Doesn't mean they have to go. I have a friend from Russia and as far as he and his other Russian friends are concerned the KHL is a joke.

The KHL will be compentition til greed and corruption take over then it'll bring it's self down. Let 'em have thier fun for now then guys like Radulov will be begging to come back. My opinion on that is in another post.

If I may be pseudo serious for 5 seconds...the peoolme that I see for The NHL is this:
What if this bush league DOES make some really high profile raids? Using a bit of hyperbole, let's say A.O. and about 15 other big names go...you think we have truble getting the league on TV now? Without the big marketable guys, it suddenly becomes less interesting to a lot of people, (by that I mean advert people) You don't sell ads, you don't get tv. The NHL will end up on The Oxygen network. Not too far fetched as some may think. I seem to remember a few guys leaving the NHL for the WHA, and these were not all scrubs, this wasn't Arena Footbal. Guys like Hull, Howe, Bernie Parent, Gerry Cheevers...these guys all jumped.. The problem is, the league isn't as strong as it was then. Do I think the KHL will last? No, but those 3-4 years could be a huge blow to a struggling league, a league that has no business strugling, but for its idiot commisioner. So let us not gloss over a threat, small though it may seem now. And of course, this is all an issue because:

Per haps Hank, but I'm just trying to present a scenario based somewhat in history. I remember the WHA getting laughed at...that is till Hull, Parent and Cheevers went.
